James Van Prooyen's scheduled presentation has been rescheduled due to unavoidable and unforeseeable work rescheduling. He will be presenting in June 2010 (provisionally).
The Warren Astronomical Society meets monthly on the third Thursday in room 221 of Building J at Macomb Community College's South Campus. We do a bit of club business early on, then have a major presentation usually put together by one of our members.
Ken Bertin will be giving his "new and improved" talk entitled "The Life of Galileo." Galileo discovered the moons of Jupiter, the phases of Venus, and the very obviously rocky nature of the moon, and in the process got himself into some serious trouble. This is a perfect way to help close out the International Year of Astronomy.
The video "Participatory Hubble" will be presented at another time.
The views expressed in presentations are those of the speakers and do not necessarily represent, and should not be attributed to, the Warren Astronomical Society.
