The Warren Astronomical Society meets monthly on the third Thursday in room 209 of Building B at Macomb Community College's South Campus. We do a bit of club business early on, then have a major presentation usually put together by one of our members.
This talk will be by long-time WAS member and eclipse-chaser, Dave Harrington, who was twice Club President back in the '70s. Dave will show where 40+ years of eclipse chasing has taken him and many other WAS members, from the Alti-Plano in Bolivia to the Gobi Desert.
After the talk, we will conduct a vote for the 2010 club officers. You must be a current paid member to vote or to stand for election.

“ Former W.A.S. President Dave Harrington presented a stunning retrospective on his solar eclipse observations from Bolivia to the China Sea, with emphasis not on the science of solar eclipses but on the good times and travels that Harrington and his fellow W.A.S. members had on their worldwide adventures. Beautiful visuals and recollections of W.A.S. history combined to form a compelling portrait of the life of the dedicated amateur astronomer, complete with family, friends, and very large wild animals. ”
