DESCRIPTION:Warren Astronomical Society\n\nSince the first discovery in 199
 5\, the number of known exoplanets\, or planets outside our own solar syste
 m\, has increased monthly.  As discovery techniques have been refined\, inv
 estigation techniques have been developed that enable us to study the weath
 er on some of these planets.  What will this new information tell us and ho
 w will we use it?\n\nIn this talk\, titled "Exoplanet Exploration: Expandin
 g Geography Outside Our Solar System\," Stephen J. Edberg\, System Scientis
 t for the Space Interferometry Mission at NASA/JPL\, will discuss the proce
 sses scientists use to make these discoveries and how they will help us lea
 rn to characterize other planets and ultimately look for other Earth-like p
 lanets\, and for life on them.\n\nTickets are $8 for members of Cranbrook I
 nstitute of Science and dues-paying members of the Warren Astronomical Soci
