The Warren Astronomical Society meets monthly on the first Monday of every month in the auditorium at Cranbrook Institute of Science. We do a bit of club business early on, then have a major presentation usually put together by one of our members.
Frank "Rocketman" Uroda will be giving a talk about photographing meteors, using an all-sky camera. He will also discuss his large-scale model rocket factory - we're not talking about paper-towel-roll-sized toy rockets, but behemoths several feet tall. He's an amazing guy and it will be a very fun talk.
“ Astonishing still photos and videos of meteors, satellites, and nebulae taken by a club member from his backyard observatory. Also a fun discussion of model rocketry. ”
“ Frank Uroda's talk on his all sky camera was top-notch, slide show featured some time-lapse videos, one of which prompted spontaneous applause. Very impressive. ”
